SingSpark is coming to the App Store (iPhone, iPad and Apple TV) and Google Play. The party hub works in any modern browser, including smart-TV browsers.
Singing and scoring
The app can't hear me
Allow microphone access in your phone's Settings → SingSpark. Singing close to the phone works best; with headphones on, the backing track won't leak into the mic and your score gets more accurate.
How is my score calculated?
Each moment you sing is compared with the song's melody. Notes within a few cents of the target count as perfect, close notes as good, and holding them builds a combo. Every line gets a grade, and your skill rating rises over time.
Where do lyrics come from?
The demo songs ship with their lyrics. For your own songs, SingSpark looks up synced lyrics by title and artist. Only the title and artist text are sent, never the audio.
AI vocal split
What does "Split vocals with AI" do?
It separates a song into a vocal track and a music track using a model that runs on your device. Afterwards, the Mixer has separate Music and Vocal faders, so you can turn the original singer down or off.
How long does a split take?
Usually under a minute for a typical song on a recent phone, longer on older devices. The result is saved, so each song only needs to be split once.
Party mode
How do I start a party on my TV?
Open hub.singspark.app in your TV's browser, or open the SingSpark app on Apple TV. A four-letter code and QR code appear. On each phone, tap Join Party and scan the code.
Can Android and iPhone users sing in the same room?
Yes. iPhone, iPad, Android and the web hub all join the same room. Up to eight singers per room.
My phone won't join the room
Check that you typed the code shown on the TV and that the TV page is still open. Rooms close when the host leaves. If you're hosting from a phone on the same Wi-Fi, allow local network access when asked.
Privacy
Is my voice recorded or uploaded?
No. Your microphone audio is processed on your device and never leaves it. See the privacy policy for everything else.
How do I turn off usage statistics?
Open Settings in the app and switch off "Help improve SingSpark". The app works exactly the same.
